It would be difficult to discover a murder more revolting than this one. A 31-year-old woman was reported to have been discovered dead in Calvinia on Monday, with the crime scene shocking even the most jaded Northern Cape police officers.

We suggest caution for the remainder of this article. It becomes quite dark from here…

The murder of Calvinia’strikes’ local authorities.

Two individuals, ages 21 and 41, are currently detained by the police. They were apprehended shortly after the discovery of the body, and it is anticipated that they will soon be processed by the courts. The SAPS now has the unfortunate responsibility of determining what prompted such a heinous conduct.

Police have not yet confirmed whether anything “satanic” was involved in the murder, but the descriptions are abhorrent.

Yesterday, the victim was discovered ‘naked and ravaged’ on the outskirts of Calvinia.

Her skull and body had both been “sliced apart,” exposing her vital organs.

She had been brutally beaten, and her murderers attempted to bury her body beneath large rocks.

It is believed that she was tortured in her final moments, and a prominent politician called the brutality “inhumane.”
The head of the DA’s constituency in Calvinia posted a photo of the crime scene on her social media networks along with the horrifying news.

A Northern Cape lawmaker criticizes “ineffective” police leadership.

Gizella Opperman, as the representative for Hantam-Karoo Hoogland, spoke on behalf of a heartbroken community. She was relieved that the criminals had been apprehended, but ultimately she could not resist settling a political score and demanded the resignation of the Police Minister.

“The District Attorney is glad that two suspects, aged 41 and 21, have been apprehended. However, no amount of justice can remove the torture the victim must have undergone or bring her back. Our party reiterates its call for the dismissal of Bheki Cele.” | Gizella Opperman
