Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of Egyptian House of Representatives discuss bilateral ties

CAIRO, 18th February, 2022 – Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Dr.

Hanafy El-Gebaly, Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives, on the sidelines of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Cairo, under the title, “Arab Solidarity.

”

Ghobash welcomed Dr.

El-Gebaly and lauded his participation in the event, stressing that Egypt is a home for all Arabs, He also commended the cooperation of the Egyptian House of Representatives to ensure the success of the event.

Ghobash then praised the significant achievements taking place in Egypt, under the leadership of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of Egypt.

During the meeting, the two sides highlighted the importance of enhancing their parliamentary cooperation and coordinating their stances on issues of mutual concern, most notably Arab national security and Arab solidarity.

Dr.

El-Gebaly commended the UAE’s achievements, which are due to the vision of its leadership, and lauded the successful hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai.

He then highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and Egypt, stressing the fact that the UAE has supported Egypt through dire conditions.

Egypt is beginning a new era after defeating terrorism and engaging in a process of reconstruction, he noted.
