Russia-Ukraine War: 123 Nigerians arrive in Abuja

In continuation of the evacuation of Nigerians from Ukraine, another one hundred and twenty three Nigerians, from Warsaw, Poland have been evacuated by the Nigerian Government into  Abuja.
They were airlifted from Poland onboard Air Peace Flight which touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 1:20am, on the11th March 2022.

Addressing the evacuees on behalf of the Director General of NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed, the Director of Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Edward Kolawole Adedokun, briefed them on the processes of the documentation before exiting from the airport.
Also speaking, an official of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Abdulrahman Terab, assured them of the arrangements made to support them with transport subsidy of USD$100 to their various locations.
The evacuees were received by the Nigerian Government’s team led by NEMA and other agencies under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. Also present were representatives of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian Immigration Service, Port Health Services, and Nigerian Centre for Disease Control.
