Rob Hersov warns that the ANC government is sabotaging South Africa’s relationship with America by choosing China and Russia over the West

What started as a video commentary has now turned into a viral political firestorm.

Rob Hersov, a South African businessman and outspoken political activist, is once again putting the ruling ANC party on blast—this time, with an open letter and a direct appeal to Donald Trump.

In his most recent video on his Truth Report News channel, Hersov argues that former U.S. President Donald Trump wants to see genuine policy change in South Africa.

But make no mistake—he says Trump isn’t looking for symbolic moves like appointing a white ambassador. He wants real reform.

Hersov Speaks Out on ‘Kill the Boer’ Chant and White Farmer Attacks

Hersov also addressed the controversial and inflammatory “Kill the Boer” chant associated with Julius Malema and the EFF, calling it “fundamentally evil” and a “disgrace.”

He voiced concern over the treatment of white farmers in South Africa, suggesting it borders on genocide.

He made these comments during an appearance on the U.S. television show Rob Schmitt Tonight on Newsmax, further amplifying his message to an international audience.

A Blunt Open Letter to Trump and Bozell

In addition to his media appearances, Hersov released a hard-hitting open letter directed at Donald Trump and the incoming U.S. ambassador, Brent Bozell.

In it, he slammed the ANC government for corruption, anti-Western policies, and what he calls the deliberate dismantling of South Africa’s global reputation.

He didn’t just post the letter quietly—it was the focus of a passionate video uploaded on his YouTube channel, just ahead of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s U.S. visit to meet with Trump on 21 May.

South Africans Are Split Over Hersov’s Views

The response? Completely polarized. South Africans took to social media with mixed reactions—some praising Hersov for “speaking the truth,” while others dismissed him as out-of-touch or divisive.

Here’s a taste of what people had to say:

  • “He’s telling the truth.” – Siyabonga

  • “Let him join the 49 white farmers in the US.” – Aquiline

  • “Trump’s not a saint, and he’s got his own problems.” – Ngazi

  • “Rob always brings up the U.S.—why not focus on local issues?” – Mpilonhle

  • “ANC may be corrupt, but they were voted in.” – Kholofelo

  • “These racist comments show why apartheid pain hasn’t healed.” – KG

Clearly, Hersov’s message is hitting a nerve—both positively and negatively.

Hersov Says South Africa is Picking a Fight with America

In yet another video this month, Hersov doubled down, warning that South Africa has intentionally picked a fight with the most powerful country in the world—the United States.

“This wasn’t accidental,” he said. “It was reckless, arrogant, and completely self-destructive.”

He backed up his claims with a string of facts. According to Hersov:

  • South Africa regularly votes against the U.S. at the UN

  • Its ambassador to Venezuela once pledged military support against the U.S.

  • The ANC has cozied up to authoritarian regimes like Cuba, Libya, China, and Iran

  • In 2020, ANC supporters chanted “One bullet, one American” outside the U.S. embassy

Hersov Blames ANC for Wrecking Diplomatic Ties

Hersov painted a bleak picture of South Africa’s diplomatic standing. He says the country has no functioning ambassador in Washington and has practically allowed its embassy to fall into irrelevance.

He also criticized the ANC’s alignment with groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, claiming they’ve sold out democratic principles in exchange for Marxist nostalgia and populist rhetoric.

“Free markets are crumbling. Our embassies are gutted. We’re cozying up to human rights abusers. This isn’t diplomacy—it’s delusion,” he warned.

Time for a Wake-Up Call, Says Hersov

In a call to action, Hersov urged South Africans to see past the ANC’s liberation-era narrative and realize the cost of their foreign policy decisions.

According to him, rejecting the West means saying goodbye to trade deals like AGOA, which currently supports around 250,000 jobs. It means turning the upcoming G20 Summit into an international embarrassment if Trump and other leaders decide to boycott it.

“Other African countries are doing smart diplomacy—Kenya, Rwanda, even Zimbabwe. And what are we doing? Burning bridges.”

Hersov’s Vision: Rebuild, Replace, Recommit

Hersov laid out his solution clearly: fire the diplomats who aren’t doing their jobs, hire professionals instead of party loyalists, and recommit South Africa to the Western values that once brought prosperity.

He believes there’s still hope, but only if the country shifts course—fast.

“Let’s put South Africa first,” he said. “Fix this damn foreign policy before there’s nothing left to fix.”
