The Vicar, Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Awka, Reverend Father Gerald Onwumelu has encouraged Christians to acknowledge their guilt, concentrate on self and never revenge.
Reverend Father Onwumelu who stated this in a homily during a mass said that every human being is imperfect and should be conscious of how to live a life that is filled with God’s directives so as not to be found wanting on the last day.
He asked the parishioners not to retaliate on any offence done them adding that they should be careful, monitor self and avoid acts that will not promote peace in the society.
At Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, Nkwele-Awka, Reverend Canon Sunday Ike, whose sermon centered on’ God, Our Jehovah Rapha’ stated that there is nothing impossible for God to do adding that every good thing comes from Him.
Meanwhile, the Pastor, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Arena, in Awka, Pastor Olatunde Oduwale has urged Christians to obey God and follow his commandments, in order to receive favours from Him.
Pastor Oduwale who was preaching during a service at the church, said favour is an approval, a support or liking of someone and also an act of kindness beyond what is due.
