The clip resurfaced amid revelations from data analyst and investigating officer Colonel Lambertus Steyn, who disclosed that singer Kelly Khumalo had been in contact with some of the accused in the murder case.

As previously reported, Senzo Meyiwa was shot and fatally wounded on October 26, 2014, at the residence of his girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus.

Five men are currently standing trial for the soccer star’s murder: Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Nkani Ntuli.

They face charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances, possession of firearms without a license, and possession of ammunition.

The resurfaced video clip, which originated from a media briefing held by the EFF in 2022, showcases Julius Malema expressing a firm belief that Meyiwa was murdered and that those present in the house at the time of the incident possess knowledge about the perpetrators.

Specifically, Malema asserted that Kelly Khumalo knows something related to the murder, and he emphasized the need for her to be held accountable.

During a court session on July 27, data analyst Lambertus Steyn made revealing statements at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

He stated that Kelly Khumalo had been in communication with “accused 5,” and the last call between them occurred on October 15, 2014, just days before Meyiwa’s tragic death.

Additionally, Steyn disclosed that Khumalo’s cellphone, reportedly stolen during the shooting, was traced to a hostel in Vosloorus at approximately 22:43 on the same night.

The data analyst also highlighted connections between “accused 1” and Kelly Khumalo following the incident.

As new developments emerge in the Meyiwa murder trial, the involvement and alleged knowledge of singer Kelly Khumalo have become subjects of increasing interest and scrutiny.

The case continues to garner significant attention and raises questions about the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of the beloved soccer star.
