Rescue Nigeria Mission RENMISS declares support for Yahaya Bello as President of Nigeria 2023

By Sunday John
Ahead of  the 2023 general election, Rescue Nigeria Mission (RENMISS), a socio-political group, has called on Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi  to contest for president on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.
National Chairman of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu-Damat  made the call on Sunday in Lafia, Nasarawa,  at a town hall meeting with various youth groups and coordinators from the six states of North – Central zone and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
Shuaibu-Damat said  that it was necessary for leaders of APC across the country to support Gov. Bello, to fly its ticket in the 2023 general election, as a representative of the youths.
He also noted that the support for  Bello to become president would enhance peace, unity and progress of the country.
He explained that the group was already mobilising people, especially the youths, in all the 774 local government areas of the 36 states and FCT, adding that  a lot of Nigerians have keyed into the project.
Mr Haruna Nuhu-Tauhid, Coordinator of the group in North-Central, said the older generation had their turn in the party in 2015 and 2019 and had done well, noting therefore, that it was only right to support a youth.
The coordinator added that the group was not just supporting Bello as a youth, but for his vibrancy commitment, capacity and capability to turn things around for good.
Also, Dahiru Nagogo, Nasarawa Coordinator of the group, said  Bello had proven to be very courageous, visionary, dedicated and committed to the cause of the country.
He explained that they had  interacted with Gov. Bello often and knew that under his leadership, the youths would be given their rightful place in the scheme of things.
According to him,  Bello will address the root causes of insecurity by engaging the youths and making them unavailable for recruitment into crimes and other vices.
The meeting had in attendance representatives from Nasarawa, Plateau, Niger, Kwara, Kogi and Benue States, as well as the FCT Abuja(NAN).
