The INEC has put in place machinery to allow for virtual continuous voter registration, but lawmakers have expressed dissatisfaction with the internet method.
They are concerned that the internet registration method will not cover all constituencies, resulting in voter apathy and disenfranchised of Nigerians.
The House also requests that the electoral umpire only place voting stations in safe places.
Rep. Abubakar Yalleman has proposed the motion.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has passed a motion urging the federal government to supply body cameras to all security personnel on the job across the country.
This, according to the House, will help address allegations of harassment, extortion, and extra-judicial killings of citizens by security operatives, as well as protect them.
