Rassie Erasmus Launches YouTube Channel to Share Rugby Footage and Connect with Fans in South Africa

Rassie Erasmus is known for his unique and bold approach to coaching, which has played a crucial role in the Springboks’ success on the world stage.

Not only is he a top-tier coach, but he’s also one of the few in his field who frequently engages with fans through social media.

Although his social media presence has occasionally landed him in hot water with World Rugby, Erasmus has always maintained that his aim is to connect with the average Springbok fan, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s journey and his own life outside of rugby.

Recently, the Springboks’ head coach took this connection a step further by launching his own rugby-focused YouTube channel.

The channel, still in its early stages, is dedicated to sharing both past and present rugby footage.

Erasmus made it clear that his intention is for the channel to offer fans a bit of nostalgia, while also encouraging interaction and feedback from viewers.

A New Digital Platform for Rugby Fans

On X (formerly Twitter), Rassie shared the announcement about his new YouTube venture, where he emphasized the channel’s goal of posting videos that spark fun and conversation.

So far, there are seven videos available for viewers, which are sure to excite rugby enthusiasts who want more insights into the game and the Springboks’ journey.

His foray into the world of digital media shows his commitment to giving fans a unique look at the sport, as well as the personalities behind the team.

It’s a move that reflects his desire to break away from traditional coaching methods, embracing modern ways to engage with a wider audience.
