Protest Erupts at Inauguration as Emirs of Kano and Bichi Booed by Supporters

Supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) expressed their dissatisfaction with the presence of the monarchs, resulting in a protest.

Intervention by security operatives ensures safety

As the first-class monarch, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, arrived at the venue, an angry crowd raised their voices in protest.

The disapproval continued when the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, also faced a similar reception.

Security operatives swiftly intervened to ensure the safety of the monarchs, escorting them to their designated seats and protecting them from further disruption.

Abba Kabir Yusuf pledges to investigate Ganduje’s administration

Abdullahi Ganduje, who governed Kano State for eight years, was scheduled to hand over to Abba Kabir Yusuf of the NNPP.

The incoming governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida Gida, has vowed to probe the N241 billion debt inherited from Ganduje’s administration.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the handover notes provided, Yusuf criticized Ganduje for not personally handing over the state government and instead relying on the outgoing Secretary to the State Government.
