Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made a rare public appearance at the 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, bringing her husband, Nicholas Riccio, and their nine-month-old son, Nico, along for the occasion.
At 27, Leavitt doesn’t often appear in public with her husband, who is 59, but this family-friendly event was a special moment for the couple.
Riccio, looking youthful in a tan suit and purple tie, pushed their son around the South Lawn in a stroller.
Little Nico was dressed in a baby-blue outfit, complementing the springtime atmosphere of the event.

The Easter Egg Roll, which attracted President Donald Trump and Melania Trump, was filled with activities for families to enjoy, including an egg hunt, cookie decorating, and other fun games.
The festive event was part of a long-standing tradition on the White House’s South Lawn.
Leavitt herself dressed for the occasion in a stunning pastel-colored dress, fitting the spring theme perfectly.
She wore a baby-blue lace dress by Self Portrait, which featured a square neckline, bejeweled buttons, and pockets.
The dress also had a thin blue belt to complete the look.
Though the dress is no longer for sale, similar styles from the designer are typically priced at over $600.
This is a brand Leavitt has favored before, including a sparkly white suit and a mint-green dress she wore earlier this year.

Leavitt paired her elegant dress with a diamond cross necklace and navy blue ballet flats.

The White House’s website outlined other exciting activities at the event, including the Be Best Military Card Writing Station, a Reading Nook sponsored by Amazon, and Be Best Hopscotch.
The kids were also invited to participate in the America250 initiative, where they could sign a mini Declaration of Independence and dress up as Founding Fathers in preparation for the upcoming 250th anniversary of America’s founding.
Leavitt’s Role and Private Life
Leavitt, the youngest press secretary in U.S. history, is also listed as one of the featured readers at the Reading Nook, alongside figures like U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and First Lady Melania Trump.
Leavitt has kept her private life relatively out of the spotlight, but she recently shared that she met her husband during her congressional campaign in 2022.
Riccio, who founded Riccio Enterprises LLC and now manages beachfront properties in New Hampshire, has an inspiring story.
By the time he was 18, he was living on the streets, relying on friends for basic needs.
Despite those struggles, he turned his life around and became successful in real estate.
The couple got engaged on Christmas Day in 2023.

In a previous interview, Leavitt opened up about the emotional challenges of balancing motherhood with her demanding job.
She expressed her gratitude for Riccio’s flexible work schedule, which allows him to care for Nico while she works.
“Leaving the baby every day to go to work, it does break your heart,” Leavitt confessed, adding that the balance between her career and motherhood is incredibly challenging on every level.
