…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wasted no time in making appointments shortly after assuming office as Nigeria’s president.
Among the initial appointments was that of Victor Adekunle Adeleke as the State Chief of Protocol.
Additionally, Dele Alake, former Lagos State Commissioner of Information, was appointed as the Presidential Spokesman, and Olusegun Dada was named as the Special Adviser for Digital Media.
Furthermore, President Tinubu recently appointed Nosa Asemota as his official photographer, and Adelani Opeyemi as the official photographer for Vice President Kashim Shettima.
This announcement was made by Tolani Alli, the official photographer for immediate past Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on social media.
In response to Tinubu’s declaration of the removal of fuel subsidy during his inauguration, the House of Representatives commended the decision.
The move generated various reactions from the public.
During a plenary session, a motion of urgent public importance was unanimously adopted by the House, which was initiated by Jimoh Olajide, a member of the House from Lagos.
Olajide stated that Tinubu’s agenda is to prioritize the welfare of the masses and enhance development through appropriate utilization of Nigeria’s funds.
The House expressed its conviction that supporting President Tinubu’s agenda through legislative actions will contribute to the delivery of democratic dividends in various sectors, including education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, food security, and the overall security of lives and property, as outlined in the Constitution.
The lawmaker further requested the House to salute Tinubu’s courage, boldness, and readiness to serve Nigeria with honesty and integrity, while congratulating him for taking on the national task ahead and his commitment to serving humanity.
