President Tinubu Holds Crucial Meeting with Nigerian Governors at Presidential Villa

…By Joseph Benjamin for TDPel Media. President Bola Tinubu convened a meeting on Wednesday with the Governors of Nigerian states, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).

The meeting, which began around 12:36 pm, took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Governors in Attendance

As of the time of reporting, several Governors were present at the meeting.

The Governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, and Bauchi attended the gathering.

The Deputy Governors of Edo and Niger represented their respective states.

Absent Governors

However, a few Governors were not yet present when the meeting began.

The Governors of Katsina, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo, and Sokoto had not arrived at the venue.

Dignitaries in Attendance

Besides President Tinubu and the Governors, the meeting also saw the presence of Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
