The purpose of the event is to bid farewell to President Buhari as he prepares for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima on Monday, May 29.

President Buhari’s convoy departed from the Glass House residence and reached the conference center around 07:32 pm.

The venue of the event is tightly controlled, with guests gradually arriving in anticipation of the dinner scheduled to commence at 8 pm.

Among the attendees are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President Ibrahim Gambari, Head of Civil Service of the Federation Yemi Esan, the President-elect and Vice President-elect, along with their spouses, ministers, permanent secretaries, and heads of government agencies, among others.

In preparation for his second term inauguration on Monday, May 29, 2023, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has released his official portrait.
