Pope Francis is making steady progress in his recovery after being admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital due to bronchitis.

According to the Vatican, the Pope had a restful night and did not experience any further febrile episodes.

Pope’s Condition and Treatment Update

The Holy Father was hospitalized on Friday after experiencing bronchitis symptoms for several days.

Upon his admission, he was diagnosed with a respiratory tract infection and a mild fever.

However, after spending the night at the hospital, his medical team reported some positive improvements in his condition, with tests showing progress in certain health values.

Rest, Prayer, and Recovery

On Saturday, Pope Francis began his day by receiving the holy Eucharist and spent the rest of his morning alternating between rest, prayer, and reading.

To aid in his full recovery, his doctors have prescribed complete rest.

As a result, he will not lead the Angelus prayer on Sunday, February 16.

However, the Vatican assured that the Pope would still send the text for its publication.

Pope Expresses Gratitude for Support and Requests Continued Prayers

The Vatican also shared that the Pope has been receiving numerous messages of support and affection from around the world, which he is deeply grateful for.

He has expressed his thanks to everyone and continues to ask for prayers as he works towards a full recovery.
