Orlando Pirates claimed a priceless victory in their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final against Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya, and will now face Morocco’s RS Berkane in the title decider on Friday.

As broken down in a report by KickOff.com, Pirates have already banked $450 000 (approximately R7,266 million) for reaching the semi-final, and they are now set for an ever bigger payday.

Lifting the CAF Confederation Cup would see them walk away with $1,25 million (approximately R20,156 million), while the runners-up would claim $625 000 (approximately R10,078 million).

Confederation Cup winners would also go on to the CAF Super Cup once-off final in early August, which is worth $200 000 (approximately R3,2 million).

CAF has confirmed the kick-off time for Friday, 20 May’s CAF Confederation Cup final between South Africa’s Orlando Pirates and Morocco’s RS Berkane.

The highly-anticipated match, which will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, will get under way at 21:00 (SA time).

Meanwhile, CAF also controversially confirmed that this season’s CAF Champions League final will be played at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca at 21:00 (SA time) on Monday, 30 May.

Egyptian giants Al Ahly will take on ‘home’ Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club for the title.
