DURBAN SHOOTOUT: FOUR ARRESTED AFTER OFF-DUTY COP SAVES THE DAY

The streets of Durban are clearly not safe either. And now it seems we aren’t even safe in church. One off duty police officer found that out the hard way on Friday evening.

An off-duty Durban police officer attended his church service in the area during the evening. Just as everything seemed normal and the officer was talking to a woman outside, criminals took their chance.

Police say three men ran up to the officer and the woman. All of their cellphones were stolen. Things then escalated and took a turn for the worst. One of the robbers made a move for the police officer’s gun.

The officer and the robbers ended up with gunshot wounds. Several churchgoers also left with their cars boasting gunshot holes. Four suspects were arrested.
