Police Are Looking into a Fatal Aurora Shooting

After a lady was shot and murdered early on Friday morning in the Wallingford neighborhood, detectives are looking into the incident.

Police were called to a hotel in the 4400 block of Aurora Avenue North at 12:46 in response to reports of a lady being shot. When police arrived, they discovered a 33-year-old lady who had been shot. Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics tried to save the lady’s life, but the woman was later pronounced dead by the medics.

Responding to the site, members of the SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit processed it for evidence.

Also responding were homicide detectives, who are still conducting their inquiry.
