Police confirm killing of PDP chieftain in Akwa Ibom

Chief Bassey Emah, a state chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was killed, according to the Akwa Ibom police command. Emah was fatally shot on February 12th.
SP Odiko Macdon, a police spokeswoman, confirmed that an inquiry into the killing had commenced.
SP Odiko Macdon also promised that the criminals would be apprehended and brought to justice.
“We received word that gunmen had killed Emah,” he claimed.
The investigation is ongoing, and I am confident that the criminals will be apprehended soon.’
