This picture might look scary at first.

This is actually how babies are given an x-ray. It’s called a Pigg-O-Stat.

By keeping the baby still it allows the doctor to take the x-ray quicker and not have to do repeated exposure of radiation.

As any parent will tell you, babies aren’t good at staying still—especially when they need to.

But yes, the disturbing fact is that, when babies get x-ray scanned, it looks like they are being put in a blender. Thankfully, they aren’t.
