Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, well known by his stage name “Phyno,” was born on October 9, 1986. Phyno is from Nigeria’s Anambra state.
He is the fourth of his parents’ five children.
He was born and reared in Enugu, where he received his primary, secondary, and tertiary education before deciding to pursue music as a vocation.
Although, like many other ordinary Nigerian youth, he aspired to be a doctor or a pilot, fate had different plans.
He was an accomplished musician who could play the piano and drums.
In 2003 he started his music career and because of how important it is to him he traveled down to Lagos state for that same purpose.
Phyno has also produced songs for music artists like Timaya, Flavour, Mr. Raw among others.
Phyno has won several awards and is also considered one of the most richest and influential music artists in Nigeria as of now.
