Patsy Kensit has revealed a secret romance with Terence Stamp that many never knew about — a love affair that began when she was just 23 and spanned a remarkable 30-year age difference.
The actress, now 57, says the relationship started in the early 1990s while they were filming the Spanish crime thriller Prince of Shadows in Madrid.
Terence Stamp, the Oscar-nominated star of the original Superman films, passed away in Los Angeles last year at the age of 87.
Patsy recalled that the pair first met at a Chelsea dinner party, introduced by a mutual friend, and their paths crossed again when she suggested him for the lead role of Darman in the movie she was cast in.
A Romance Between Co-Stars
Reflecting on their time together, Patsy described their connection as one of deep, unexpected chemistry.
“We were star-crossed lovers and he was a total gentleman,” she told The Sun.
“Even though there was an age gap, we had a strong bond.
He was an amazing and generous lover.”
The romance continued after filming wrapped, with Patsy often visiting Terence at his Piccadilly flat in London. Looking back, she described the relationship as a “lost few months in my life” — a bittersweet but treasured memory.
Why It Came to an End
Eventually, the romance fizzled as Patsy left the UK to shoot Timebomb in 1991.
She admitted that ending the relationship was her choice, and she blamed her youth and inexperience.
“I was young and stupid,” she said, reflecting candidly on the past.
Terence Stamp, remembered for his iconic role as General Zod in Superman and Superman II, left behind a remarkable legacy when he passed in August 2025.
His family said: “He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and as a writer, that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come.
We ask for privacy at this sad time.”
A Heartfelt Tribute to Her Sons
In recent days, Patsy has also been sharing joyful moments with her family.
On Instagram, she posted a throwback photo of her youngest son, Lennon, celebrating with a birthday cake.
The EastEnders star, who shares Lennon, 26, with ex-husband Liam Gallagher, wrote a touching message:
“My precious baby boy… I love you so so much and I’m so proud of you and your wonderful brother James.
I’m so blessed to have you in my life… I love watching The Chase with you, Lennon, and you’re so bloody good at it.”
She clarified that the photo was not taken on Lennon’s actual birthday in September but simply a cherished moment they shared together.
Family Life in Focus
Patsy is also mother to her older son James, 32, from her marriage to Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr.
Despite her decades-long career in showbusiness, she has consistently shared glimpses of her private life, balancing motherhood with a life in the spotlight.
Looking Back With Fondness
Patsy’s reflections on both love and family show a woman who values meaningful connections, whether fleeting romances like her affair with Terence Stamp or the enduring bond with her children.
While some of her past has remained hidden for decades, she has now spoken openly, painting a picture of a vibrant, layered life lived fully in both love and family.
