Pabi Moloi’s marriage drama: Tweeps drag ‘wrong husband’

Media personality Pabi Moloi made headlines this past weekend for her alleged marriage drama with “husband” Ruan Adams but it seems entertainment blogger Musa Khawula may have used the photo of the wrong person, via a tweet on Sunday 10 April.

PABI MOLOI’S MARITAL DRAMA EXPLAINED

Sunday World reported that a legal battle is looming between Pabi Moloi and her “husband” Ruan Adams over the legality of their marriage and division of their multi-million rand estate in Johannesburg. The multi-million rand estate reportedly included six properties.

Adams claims he married Moloi on 30 April 2016. He has written a letter to the media personality informing her that he is entitled to 50% of their lucrative estate because he claims their customary marriage was recognised by the law as marriage in community of property.

The publication also reports that Adams is claiming R8500 in spousal support. So, he can maintain the lavish lifestyle he was used to living. The pair have a son together.

However, Pabi’s lawyers deny that she was married to Adams.

“Our client specifically denies that she was ever married to your client, be it in terms of civil law or customary law. As such, our client denies that any joint estate exists between herself and your client. In light of the above, our client is under no obligation to furnish your client, nor is your client entitled to demand the financial documentation requested,” stated Pabi’s lawyer Vanessa Da Silva of Ulrich Roux & Associates in a letter to Adam’s lawyers.

“Pabi Moloi’s ‘husband’ Ruan Adams demands half of their multi million-rand estate. Pabi Moloi denies ever being married to Ruan Adams on civil or customary terms. Ruan insists they got married on the 30th April 2016 after he paid lobola of R25 000  and he has pictures to prove it,” read the tweet.
