Fans of Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard are breathing fire after several online stores started selling Depp-Heard items amid the ongoing trial between the Pirates of the Caribbean star and the actress.
The 58-year-old actor is suing the 38-year-old actress for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post about surviving domestic violence.
T-shirts, mugs and blankets started going on sale on Redbubble, CoolPopTees and Urban Dictionary, much to the dismay of fans.
The trial has been making headlines and trending on social media since it started on April 11.
Capitalising on the trial online, shops have made mugs, t-shirts and blankets with mostly pro-Depp sentiments, as well as anti-Heard messages.
According to The Independent, a quick search for “Johnny Depp trial” on Redbubble returns more than 100 results, including “Justice for Johnny” and “F**k Amber” t-shirts that are available in different styles and colours.

Depp and Heard met in 2009 on the set of the film The Rum Diary and were married in February 2015. Their divorce was finalized two years later.
The former couple has been back and forth in court after the Public Enemies actor sued her for implying he was a domestic abuser. Although the Paranoia actress did not mention her then-husband’s name, he is seeking $50 million (R789.7 million) for defamation of character.
The Texas-born actress countersued, asking for $100 million (R1.5 billion) and claiming she suffered “rampant physical violence and abuse” at his hands.
