The tour of federal constituencies in Osun State by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola which began three weeks ago has reached Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
The strategic engagement tour tagged “We have you in mind” is to provide an interface between the governor and people of all the constituencies visited.
Oyetola has in the past few weeks, visited six out of the nine federal constituencies domiciled in the state, with assurances that his government would do more for the people on whose mandate his administration subsists.
While addressing traditional rulers and APC members, Governor Oyetola praised the royal fathers and loyalists of the party for their firmness and support, saying that he always had them in mind.
The Governor, who was presented with a sword by the leaders and members of Oriade Local Government, said he was confident in the symbolism and efficacy of the sword given to him to achieve victory, triumph and success in the upcoming state governorship election.
He then urged all party loyalists in the federal constituency to spread the gospel of the good works of his administration and mobilise the electorate in the region to support and vote for the ruling party.
Responding, the Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Kayode Awogboro, urged Governor Oyetola not to allow anything distract him from the good works his administration had been doing since inception.
The royal father also urged the Governor not to allow political traducers deter him from his avowed commitment to taking the state to the promised land.
The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye, also expressed satisfaction in the leadership style of Governor Oyetola, urging him to continue to keep the state safe and viable economically.
The strategic engagement tour by the Governor started with Irewole Federal Constituency and has now reached six out of nine Federal Constituencies so far, with a familiarisation visit to Ijesa-North Federal Constituency, Ila, Ife, Iwo, Ifelodun and Ijesa-North Federal Constituencies.
