Orlando Pirates have sent 21-year-old striker Simo Bophela out on loan to GladAfrica Championship side Venda Football Academy.

Simo, the twin brother of winger Simiso who has featured for the Bucs’ first team this year in the DStv Premiership, has been sent out on loan by the club.

According to reports, the striker has been spotted at GladAfrica Championship side Venda Football Academy and will remain there until the end of the season.

It’s the second consecutive loan spell away from Mayfair for Simo, who was sent out on loan to last season’s GladAfrica Championship side Sekhukhune United during the 2020/2021 campaign.

According to reports, the Buccaneers have opted to send Simo Bophela out on loan to Venda Football Academy with the hope of developing his game further.

Twin brother Simiso however has been dubbed ready to play for the Orlando Pirates first team and will wait in line at the club for regular game time!

“The boy is in Venda. He was sent out on loan by Pirates who believe that he needs game-time at this point of his career. His brother will be staying with Pirates,” SoccerLaduma reported.

17-year-old attacker Mohau Nkota was also been a first team contract and will begin training with the Orlando Pirates first team in the coming days.

The Buccaneers have struggled in front of goal so far this season with no player netting more than four goals in the first half of the campaign.

Kwame Peprah and Deon Hotto are the only two Orlando Pirates that have managed to reach the four goal mark for Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.

The likes of Simiso Bophela, Mohau Nkota and Boitumelo Radiopane are all expected to help breathe fresh life into the Orlando Pirates first team during the second half of the campaign.
