Orlando Pirates: Mandla Ncikazi vs Fadlu Davids? Who is a ‘BETTER’ coach?

Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids are co-coaches for the Orlando Pirates, but who is in charge of what with the Bucs?

Throughout this year’s DStv Premiership, Ncikazi and Davids have been the Bucs’ co-coaches.

Former Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer was replaced by both men as co-coaches. So, who picks the team and leads team meetings? When the Soweto giants are in training, who does what?

When it comes to separating roles at the club, it’s unclear who does what. So, let me set the record straight!

In press conferences, match interviews, and statements about his players and squad, Ncikazi represents Pirates in the media.

Ncikazi was the one who spoke up during the Hugo Broos PSL saga, as well as throughout the entire build-up to the Soweto Derby. He’s taken on the responsibility of reacting to the media and conveying the Buccaneers’ ‘voice.’

For the most part, the former Golden Arrows player has assumed responsibility for representing his side in front of the media.

Davids is also in charge of inspiring the players.

Both individuals will continue to be on the sidelines for the Pirates in the future. He is in charge of deploying tactics, training players off the field, and sharing team selection duty.

Orlando Pirates have advanced to the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals thanks to Davids and Ncikazi’s partnership.

They are now only one game away from the final (two games due to the two legs)!

There’s also the possibility that Benni McCarthy will succeed both of them.

Do you want Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids to continue as the Bucs’ co-coaches?
