Oprah Winfrey may return to acting

The TV icon has appeared in several movies while juggling her talk show hosting career. She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in the 1985 drama “The Color Purple,” and she has also appeared in movies like “The Butler” and “Selma.” Her most recent significant acting role was in Ava DuVernay’s 2018 release “A Wrinkle in Time,” which she played four years ago.

With director DuVernay, Winfrey recently featured in Variety’s The Power of Women Issue and hinted at a potential comeback to the big screen.

Winfrey said, “Listen, I am living on a hill in Maui… ” when asked if she would consider taking on another acting job.
