Officers arrests a 33-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs

A 33-year-old drug dealer suspect was taken into custody on Thursday, July 14, 2022 by Hawks agents from Pietermaritzburg Serious Organized Crime Investigation and Hammarsdale police station.

Members allegedly obtained information about a truck that was unloading material in a Hammarsdale warehouse. They went to the mentioned warehouse and searched there. Whilst unpacking boxes 35 kilos of crystal meth with a street worth of roughly R5.2 million was uncovered.

The driver was subsequently detained and accused of drug dealing.  He is scheduled to appear at today’s Hammarsdale Magistrate court hearing.
