NYSC to intensify efforts on training of personnel

 
The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC ) has restated its determination towards continuous capacity building for its members of staff for improved performance.

The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim stated this during the Inspectors Development Programme held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Trained Periodically
Ibrahim said Management would ensure that officers saddled with the responsibility of implementing the scheme’s policies and programmmes were trained periodically for improved service delivery.

Also speaking, the Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mr Ayodele Omotade said the programme was organised for Inspectors who enlisted the NYSC Scheme in 2010 from the Northern States.

There was an exemption of participants from Kwara and Kogi States, who had earlier joined their counterparts from the Southern States due to proximity.

He admonished participants to be committed to all presentations during the workshop to enhance productive outcome.

Ibrahim was represented at the workshop by the Director, Human Resource Management, Hajiya Habiba Bappah.
