Nse Ikpe-Etim, Akon, to star in new Hollywood movie

Nollywood star Nse Ikpe-Etim has shared with her fans, the poster of a new and coming Hollywood movie which she stars as the lead character.

The actress shared the poster on her Instagram channel with the caption: ‘When a high priestess arrives to prove a prophecy, she chooses an American to become king.

Written and directed by Adah Obekpa, the film which is titled ‘The American King- As Told by an African Priestess’ follows the story of Sebastian an ex-con dealing with some dangerous, yet sensitive Russian gangsters to whom he owes money.

Suddenly, he gets an opportunity to escape it all, as a mysterious high Priestess who seeks to fulfil a 400-year-old prophecy, makes him an offer:
‘Choose an American who will become King of an ancient African kingdom, and restore it to the global superpower it once was.

Music star Akon stars as Sebastian, while Nse plays the African high priestess.

Reports say, the movie is set to get a limited theatrical release in the United States as well as a Video on Demand (VOD) release.

‘The American King- As Told by an African Priestess’ also stars Enyinna Nwigwe, Miguel A.

Nunez Jr, Jaimyon Parker, Brad Potts, Kelcey Watson, and Mother Love.

The movie was shot in Nigeria and the United States.

 
Story Plot
In 2020, a mysterious Priestess arrives in the USA to fulfill a 400 year old Prophecy: to choose an American King (Akon) who will rebuild an ancient African Kingdom .
