NPFL22: South West Derby Gets New Season Underway

The 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League season kicks off this Friday with a South West Derby between MFM and newly promoted Remo Stars sports club.

It is the only fixture for today as all other match day one fixtures are scheduled for Sunday, 19th December 2021.

The Southwest Derby will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos starting from 6pm under floodlights.

On Sunday, Enyimba will host Abia Warriors in the first Oriental Derby of the season, Akwa United lock horns with Kano Pillars, Gombe United welcome Shooting Stars to the Pantami stadium.

Elsewhere, Heartland are at home to Nasarawa United, Rivers United flow to Lobi Stars , just as Sunshine Stars do battle with Wikki Tourists.
