Operatives from the Anti-Robbery Unit of the Nasarawa State Command successfully apprehended a notorious armed robbery suspect, Kabiru Alhaji Yusuf, on January 10, 2024.

According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the spokesperson for the command, the police operatives encountered individuals suspected to be armed robbers riding an unregistered Bajaj Motorcycle during their patrol.
The suspects, upon realizing the presence of the police, abandoned the motorcycle and attempted to flee.
A determined pursuit ensued, resulting in the successful apprehension of Kabiru Alhaji Yusuf, while two other suspects managed to escape.

DSP Ramhan Nansel provided details in a statement, stating, “The hoodlums abandoned the motorcycle and took to flight on sighting the policemen, but were given a hot chase.
Consequently, one Kabiru Alhaji Yusuf was arrested while two others escaped. A search was conducted on him where one AK 47 rifle and a motorcycle were recovered as an exhibit.”
