NOA Urges Ndi Anambra To Participate Actively In Governorship Election

The Anambra State Director of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Barrister Charles Nworji, has called on Ndi Anambra to see their participation in Saturday’s governorship election as not just a civil obligation but a voluntary choice that would determine the future of the state.

Barrister Nworji stated this in Awka while briefing journalists on steps taken by the agency so far on voter education to ensure active participation in the poll.

Addressing the press, Barrister Nworji said that it is imperative for Ndi Anambra to make the bold decision on who becomes the next governor of the state on Saturday, by coming out to vote for the candidates of their choice.

He added that the agency has equally carried out sensitization in the three senatorial zones of the state ahead of the election.

The NOA State Director also disclosed that the agency has been meeting with key players in the forthcoming election, including security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with a view to ascertaining their level of preparation to ensure a peaceful outing.

While regretting the poor participation of Ndi Anambra in previous elections in the state, Barrister Nworji, emphasized that an inactive electorate gives room for emergence of incompetent leaders and assured that the security agencies have also put adequate measures on ground to ensure that everything works out peacefully.
