NNPC cautions against panic buying of petrol

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd says it has sufficient products that will last far beyond the festive period and urged Nigerians not to engage in panic buying of products.

In a statement issued by the Group General manager, Group Public Affairs Division, NNPC, Mr Garba Deen Muhammad said NNPC stock has risen from a reserve of 1.

7 billion litres to over two billion litres.

”Our stock has risen from a reserve of 1.

7 billion litres to over two billion litres within the last one month”.

He however urged Nigerians not to engage in panic buying but to fully enjoy the spirit of the festive season as they continue to work tirelessly to ensure a sufficient supply of petrol that will serve every Nigerian this festive season.

The NNPC used the opportunity to extend sincere appreciation to all Nigerians for their understanding and support while wishing them happy celebrations.
