According to sources, Joy Muoka had previously undergone a fibroid operation and was also reported to be diabetic.

The Guardian attempted to contact Pastor Chidi Louis, the head of communications at the church, but was unable to obtain a statement.


The newspaper’s correspondent, who visited the church in Ijesha, Lagos, encountered difficulties in finding someone willing to provide information on the matter.
