…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. The Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has expressed his strong disapproval regarding a viral skit that sexualizes a young girl.
According to Naija News, the video in question features a skitmaker named Trinity who asks a girl if she has seen his genitals.
In the video, the frightened little girl admits to having seen it and describes the color she observed before quickly running away from the prankster.
Adejobi, upon viewing the video, deemed it both criminal and offensive, emphasizing the need for the skitmaker to be apprehended and brought before the court.
He expressed his disdain for the scene, highlighting the issue of child abuse.
Protest by Varsity Staff against Mass Retrenchment of Workers
In a separate development, staff unions at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Ondo have taken to the streets to protest against the alleged widespread termination of employees within the institution.
On Wednesday, these unions prevented members of the university community from entering the premises as a form of protest.
Their primary demand is the reinstatement of the dismissed workers.
Among the participating unions are the OAUSTECH union chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS).
