Niger State Governor in North central Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello has disclosed that security situation in the state have been beefed up in the 12 local government areas that affected by activities of terrorists in the state. This was made known in an interview by the Governor’s spokesperson Mary Berje.
The Governor noted that the presence of security agents in the affected local government areas have significantly reduced the attacks. The Governor hopes that before the rain sets in, the menace would be addressed to enable the people go back to their homes and farms.
The Niger State Governor, according to Mrs Berje, has directed for the provision of basic facilities of hundred displaced persons during a recent visit to some IDP Camps in Gwada, Shiroro local government area of the state.
The governor however, assured the Government’s unwavering determination in ensuring that displaced people across the state return to their respective homes before the raining season for farming activities.
