Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have become the latest high-profile targets of the alarming wave of celebrity home burglaries sweeping Los Angeles.
The famous couple’s Beverly Hills mansion, purchased for $4.7 million in 2008, was broken into over the weekend while the two were away.
Break-In at Kidman and Urban’s Beverly Hills Mansion
According to TMZ, an intruder smashed a window to gain access to the couple’s luxurious estate.
Fortunately, one of their employees was present and managed to scare the intruder off before any significant damage could be done.
At this time, it’s unclear if anything was stolen, as Kidman and Urban have yet to return and fully assess their home.
Growing Concern Over Celebrity Home Burglaries in LA
This burglary follows a series of similar incidents involving other high-profile celebrities in Los Angeles, including actor Simu Liu, whose home was targeted during the holiday season.
The growing trend of break-ins has raised alarms, especially since it’s not just movie stars who are being affected.
In 2024 alone, other A-listers like Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Jessie J, and Marlon Wayans had their homes burglarized.
For example, back in October, Jessie J had more than $20,000 worth of jewelry stolen from her Southern California mansion. Likewise, Bhad Bhabie and Sarah Hyland also fell victim to break-ins this past summer. Even Victoria’s Secret model Daniela Braga had her home ransacked, with thieves making off with $1 million worth of belongings.
FBI Issues Warning as Professional Athletes Are Targeted
Athletes haven’t been spared from these burglaries either.
In October 2024, Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were targeted, while Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was also broken into.
The FBI has since issued a formal warning to U.S. sports leagues about organized theft groups, as at least nine professional athletes have been victims of these break-ins.
Kidman and Urban’s Extensive Property Portfolio
Despite this unsettling incident, Kidman and Urban have a long history of making strategic property investments around the world.
The couple’s real estate portfolio includes a 36-acre estate in Franklin, Tennessee, and a mansion in Nashville’s exclusive Northumberland community.
They also own properties in Manhattan, Sydney, and New South Wales.
With no arrests yet made in connection to the burglary, authorities are actively investigating the break-in. DailyMail.com has reached out to Kidman and Urban’s representatives for comment.
