Nick Cannon welcomes his tenth child

Cannon revealed in September 2022 that he and photographer and model Lanisha Cole had born their first child, a girl called Onyx Ice Cole Cannon.

Cannon announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram on September 15 with a photo of himself, Cole, and their newborn daughter at the hospital. In the caption of the post, he showed his admiration for Cole.

“@MissLanishaCole is one of the most guileless, peaceful and nonconfrontational kind souls I’ve ever witnessed, and only deserves to revel in this moment of blissful joy of motherhood,” he wrote.

Rise Messiah Cannon was born in September 2022 as Cannon and Bell’s third child together and Cannon’s tenth child.

Cannon announced the birth on his Instagram and also posted a video of the “blessingway” he and Bell hosted.

According to The Birth Hour, a “blessingway” is a celebration of pregnancy and motherhood that is distinct from a baby shower because it focuses more on the mother than the baby. It brings together “prayer warriors” to speak to God and ask him to bring the baby and mother through delivery safely.

Cannon said in his caption that they needed the support because Bell experienced difficult labor.

“A bunch of powerful prayer warriors interceding for our new child’s entrance to Earth! And boy did we need it! Probably the most difficult labor and delivery I have ever witnessed! 48 hours of excruciating pain and life risking danger to welcome 10 pounds of Love and joy,” he wrote.

He gushed with admiration for his co-parent in the caption.

“@missbbell has been the rock and foundation of my Fatherhood journey. She has taught me so much about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general,” he wrote.
