According to journalist Scott McDonald, Russia is deploying Kalibr cruise missiles into Russian Black Sea Fleet submarines in response to aggressive remarks by the US.

After the United States stated that it is prepared to strike the Russian Federation’s Black Sea Fleet in order to open up grain export channels, Russia began equipping its submarines in Sevastopol with Kalibr missiles, according to McDonald.
McDonald adds, “The strategic movement of forces in the Black Sea continues: Russia is deploying cruise missiles aboard Black Sea Fleet submarines.”
According to a Newsweek correspondent, two submarines are already loading Kalibr missiles in Sevastopol’s South Bay. He points out that each submarine of the Varshavyanka class can carry four Calibers. According to the journalist, Kalibr is capable of reaching a target from a distance of up to 1,400 kilometers, citing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements.
McDonald, referring to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, writes that the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation plans to bombard Ukraine with missiles from submarines and interfere with the export of grain.
However, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia categorically rejects accusations of obstructing the export of grain from Ukraine.
Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Moscow can even provide maritime humanitarian corridors for the export of Ukrainian grain, but for this Kyiv must ensure the clearance of ports.
