In response to a drastic 214 percent increase in anti-Semitism since the October 7 Hamas terror attacks, Governor Kathy Hochul is reinforcing counterterrorism efforts.

The governor announced the addition of ten state investigators to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in New York, allocating an additional $2.5 million to the New York State Police for this purpose.

The staffing boost will be distributed among New York City, Albany, and Rochester, enhancing collaboration with the task force.
