New Appointment: Sha’aban Sharada Named Executive Secretary of National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education

In a last-minute decision before the end of his tenure and the commencement of Bola Tinubu’s administration, President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Sha’aban Sharada as the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, as reported by Naija News.

The announcement came through a statement issued by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu in Abuja on Sunday evening.

It was revealed that President Buhari appointed Sharada shortly after signing the bill that established the Commission into law on the same day.

According to Shehu, Sharada, who is an outgoing member of the House of Representatives, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano.

Additionally, he has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chichester in the United Kingdom.

These qualifications make him well-suited for his new role.

The statement released by Shehu stated, “Following his assent to the National Commission for Almajiri and out-of-school children education bill 2023, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of the outgoing member of the House of Representatives for Kano municipal, Honourable (Dr) Sha’aban Sharada as Executive Secretary.”

It is worth noting that President Buhari signed three bills into law before leaving office, one of which is the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-school Children Education.
