Mrs Rita Ichu Buried At Obosi Idemili North Council Area

A fulfilled life is a life of service to God and humanity.

So was the life of the late Mrs. Rita Ichu, who they said rendered selfless service to God and humanity, evident in her contributions and commitment in the house of God, and the succour she rendered to the needy and less privileged in the society, which earned her the name ‘Mama Power’.

Correspondent Njideka Okoye reports that the late Mrs. Ichu, who died at the age of seventy-three, was a peace-loving woman.

Delivering a sermon during her burial service at her compound, in Ire Village Obosi, Idemili North Council Area, an Archdeacon at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church Obosi, Venerable Ikechukwu Ihemtuge, who described life as a gift from God noted that the number of years one lived does not matter but how well, reminded the people that  only faith and believe in Jesus Christ can save them.

The fist son of the deceased, Mr. Tochukwu Jonathan said his mother would remain alive in his memory and assured that they would remain united in peace as their mother taught them thanking all, who came to commiserate with them.

The two daughters of the deceased, Adaora and Ifeyinwa Ichu said words cannot define the good virtues of their mother, noting that she was a humble and honest woman as well as a mother to all around her.

In their testimonies, the President General of Obosi, Sir Ike Okoli, Mr. Charles Eze, and Mr. Anthony Ikwueme said the late Mrs. Ichu was  an epitome of peace and a devoted Christian, urging her children to improve on her legacies.

The burial ceremony featured cultural dances, displays by Obosi Women Organization and condolences by in-laws, relations and friends.
