Ministers of God have been advised to ensure the spread of the gospel of Christ to the unreached in winning souls for Christ.

The founder and president of Zion Praise Church International, Amawbia, Reverend Dr Joe Nwokoye stated this during the ordination of Deacons and Deaconesses of the church.

Mrs Kene Onwualu of the Programmes Department, Anambra Broadcasting Service, was one of the Deaconesses ordained.

The ordination service which drew members of the church across the nation was also a moment of sharing testimonies of goodness of God in their lives and showing gratitude to him through thanksgiving.

Reverend Dr Nwokoye said that having seen the services of the candidates in the church, they were appointed to carry on the duty officially with dedication and persistence to the call.

He charged them to expand the scope of evangelism, resist challenges and ensure Christ is seen in them while he called on those running from God’s work to turn back and serve him for he is the owner of everything on earth and beyond.

In a message, a guest speaker, Reverend Ike Akabogu said that Christ came for their sins and resurrected with the righteousness of God because of that, they should know who they are in Christ, stressing that the word of God is the seed of everything one wants in life.

Speaking shortly after the service, another Pastor of the church in charge of Ukpo branch, Pastor Okay Nworie, who is the Head of accounts, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, told the newly ordained that their call is all about service to God and humanity to bear witness for Christ,  reminding them that challenges may come but with faith and persistence in prayers, they must overcome.

While thanking God for using her as a vessel to work with, Deaconess Kene Onwualu said she has been looking forward to serving God and now the opportunity has come, she will serve with all her strength, encouraging youths to identify with Christ and do the work of the ministry and see God’s blessings in action.

Religion correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that Ordination  and thanksgiving climaxed the service.
