Mrs Grace Ukpabi Buried At Ogbotu Onitsha

The remains of the late Mrs. Grace Ukpabi have been committed to mother earth at her father’s compound, Ogbotu Village Onitsha.

 

The late Mrs. Ukpabi, who died at the age of seventy-seven was the mother of Mrs. Ekene Aniemeka of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Awka, currently with the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget and Development Awka.

 

Correspondent Emengini Osadebe reports that the late Mrs. Ukpabi was a retired Nurse at the University of Nigeria, Teaching Hospital Enugu.

A funeral service, held in her honour at her husband’s compound, Umuaroli Village Onitsha, was officiated by the general overseer of Precious Faith Gospel Center Onitsha, Pastor Igbokwe Asika, who stressed on the need for everyone to be prepared for the second coming of Christ, regretting that a lot of people are ignorant of this warning, which according to him will take people by surprise.

 

He admonished the people to learn to shun pride, quest for pleasures of the things of the world and tradition for the sake of God’s kingdom.

 

In their separate speeches, the daughters of the deceased, Mrs. Gloria Nwankwo, Miss Grace Ukpabi and Mrs. Aniemeka said their mother left a legacy worthy of emulation describing her as a peace loving, truthful and God fearing woman, who was ever ready to sacrifice what she has for others.

The deceased son in-law, Mr. Dominic Aniemeka thanked God for the prayerful life of his mother in-law and promise to take care of her daughters.

 

Also speaking, a senior staff from the ministry of Economic Planning Budget and Development Awka, Mr. Uche Obi described their colleague, Mrs. Aniemeka as a hardworking and dedicated staff and prayed God to grant the Ukpabi family the fortitude to bear the loss.

 

The remains of the late Mrs. Ukpabi was later in a motor cade taken to her father’s compound at Ogbotu Village Onitsha for internment as the custom demands.

Highpoints were condolences and traditional dance by the children.
