Movie The Gold Coast’s World Smoking Area is full with gravestones

A traveler visiting an Australian amusement park divulged the confrontational but ingenious method used by management to prohibit smoking at the site.

The TikTok user uploaded a video from her recent visit to Movie World on the Gold Coast, in which she enters the approved smoking area.

The modest part buried away in a corner has hundreds of gravestones placed in the garden on each side of the path, along with an iron sign that reads “Boot Hill”; it is a conventional cemetery with a wild west motif.

It had me chuckling all the way home. I didn’t see a single smoking all day, so it must have been successful,’ they continued.

The video was liked by more than 20,000 people and attracted hundreds of comments over the area chosen for smokers.

“That’s incredible I’ve gone to this identical location, but I missed the clue till I saw this video,’ said one user.

Another wrote, “That cemetery was one of my favorite sections of Movie World as a child; I’m delighted it’s being put to good use.”

Australia has done a great deal to drastically reduce smoking rates. It also helps that taxes account for 90% of the excessive price of cigarettes,’ said a third.
