Mohammed Al Bowardi receives Spanish Ambassador

ABU DHABI, 18th February, 2022 – Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, today received Iñigo de Palacio, Spanish Ambassador to the UAE, on assuming his new position.

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, was also attended by Mattar Salem Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the bilateral ties between the UAE and Spain and ways of strengthening them in all areas, most notably in defence and military areas.

They also discussed several regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Palacio expressed his happiness at representing Spain in the UAE, lauding his host country’s prominent regional and international stature.
