Minnie Dlamini unveils “The Honeymoon” character

Minnie Dlamini’s admirers will be able to observe her in her element in a new film in which she portrays an actress.

On Instagram, Dlamini posted a photo of herself portraying Lu in the film “The Honeymoon.”

In the text accompanying the photo, Dlamini greets her followers “happy Diwali” while wearing a traditional Indian attire. Then, she presents her new character.

Lu is a married mother of two who is stuck in a rut.

She co-stars with the actress and comedian Tumi Morake and the actress Kajal Bagwandeen-Singh.

The production of the comedy-adventure began in Durban last year under the direction of Bianca Isaac.

In “The Honeymoon,” three buddies find themselves in a difficult situation.

The three friends, portrayed by Dlamini, Bagwandeen-Singh, and Morake, transform the would-be honeymoon into a crazy time in paradise after one of them is dumped the night before her wedding.

Dlamini stated that her character was relatable to the audience.

“We’ve all felt stuck at some point in our lives, and the question is how to come unstuck before it’s too late,” she remarked.

Dlamini’s latest acting role was in “Rockville” on Mzansi Magic. Since then, she has been a TV host on “HomeGround,” which concluded this year.

In a previous interview, Dlamini expressed her excitement about working on her first feature picture.

“This is the best time of my life. She stated, “It feels so amazing to be acting again, and to finally perform in a feature film is something I’ve longed to do for a very long time.”

The teaser trailer for “The Honeymoon” is anticipated to be released this week, according to the film’s social media pages.
