Minnesota accident victim was dispersing his father’s ashes

The guy who died in an aircraft accident in Minnesota this week was sprinkling his father’s ashes, according to law enforcement authorities. KLAS-TV said that deputies who arrived to the site discovered that 58-year-old Lee Cemensky was sprinkling his father’s ashes from the aircraft.

According to the Crow Wing County sheriff, Cemensky and the pilot, identified as 61-year-old Douglas Johnson, were killed when the amphibious ultralight aircraft they were traveling in crashed in north central Minnesota.

Sunday, in the forests northwest of Emily, both parties perished at the accident site.

Johnson ran the company Fly the Swan. According to its website, a trip on the amphibious ultralight provides passengers with a bird’s-eye view of the lakes and land, as well as the sensation of landing on the water.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the 2010 Cygnet aircraft crashed while trying to land under “unknown circumstances.”

Just before 7 p.m., the sheriff’s office was told that the aircraft had taken off but failed to reach its target. At around 8:30 p.m., emergency personnel discovered the accident site.

KLAS-TV stated that Cemensky was a lifelong Las Vegas resident, but he sold his firm in February and moved back to Fifty Lakes, Minnesota.

Leo John Cemensky, the father of Cemensky, passed away on August 7 at his home in Fifty Lakes, according to an online obituary published by Koop Funeral Home.
